More about Sakura Counselling

Our story began in September 2020 when the three of us started our degree. We each had different reasons for studying Psychology and Counselling, but soon discovered our very similar shared values when it comes to supporting others. Our journey through the last few years has been one of learning, self-discovery, acceptance and growth. When we started our course we came for a degree, when we left we had gained the strongest friendship built on kindness, compassion and empathy. Now, each of us is ready to bring this nurture, non-judgment and unconditional positive regard to you on your journey of healing, discovery and growth.

Initial phone call

An initial phone call is the chance to have a brief chat about what you are looking for. It gives us an opportunity to talk through what we may be able to offer. We can also answer any questions you may have before making a decision to start counselling. This initial call can be up to 20 minutes long and is free of charge.

Initial session

An initial session with any of our counsellors is a chance to get to know one another, complete an initial assessment of your specific needs and goals and see if you would like to come for regular sessions.

Regular sessions are usually held weekly at a time mutually convenient between you and your counsellor. Normally, sessions are 50-60 minutes long and will be tailored to your needs.
